MAX Health only uses doctors to conduct its medical examinations. This is because doctors are highly trained, experienced and qualified in performing patient examinations. They also possess a strong knowledge of musculo-skeletal examinations and conditions and have a detailed (and tested) knowledge of how to examine all body areas and underlying pathology.
We provide results only after findings have been fully verified with our in-house clinical team who review all assessments prior to assigning a risk rating. This impartial and consistent oversight provides the highest level of quality control and reduces the need for additional review by the employer.
Health Surveillance and Health Monitoring
What is required is periodic monitoring of employees to determine whether working these substances or performing high-risk activities is having a negative effect on their health.

Fitness For Duty Assessment
Fitness for Duty Assessments assist managers to obtain better insight into issues affecting an employee’s ability to work and may be requested for the following reasons:

- Concerns about the behaviour or performance of an employee in the workplace, which has a possible medical or psychiatric element

A comprehensive medical examination of an employee when the extent of a medical or psychiatric condition is unknown or possibly untreated, assisting employers to obtain better insight into issues affecting an employee’s ability to safely perform the inherent requirements of their role.
A medical examination to assist managers who have concerns when an employee is planning on returning to work after absence due to non-work-related injury or illness. Advice provided to the referring manager includes whether it is medically safe for the employee to return to work, whether returning to work poses a risk of aggravating the condition, or if the employee is fit for his or her normal duties/hours.
